Hygiene at newborn: what do you need to know?
The hygiene of newborn is a topic that is talked about a lot but unfortunately raises many doubts and fears in new mothers.
Let's take a look together at some valuable tips for facing this moment with peace of mind.
Diaper Change
Diaper changing is one of the most delicate steps because it is done several times throughout the day. Warm running water, a gentle cream indicated for her skin type, and more frequent changing to avoid redness.
In the first 2-3 months of life, bathing may be done more as a ritual than as a time for baby's hygiene, this is because when they are so small they sweat differently from adults and do not move around much. Our advice is to soften the bath water with, for example, rice starch to reduce the lime hardness that could irritate her skin.
Umbilical Cord
The umbilical cord does not require special cleaning: generally the natural fall of this is followed, it may happen that secretion is formed, which should be blanket with sterile gauze and changed from time to time.
