Suitcase for childbirth: Here's what you absolutely can't forget!
It's almost time to meet your baby, week after week the excitement grows but so do the questions and expectations. So you won't be caught unprepared, we have put together for you a checklist of everything you need to go to the hospital!
When do you start packing?
Packing the birthing bag is an extremely exciting time, a ritual that smacks of love and sweetness in which mom and dad prepare everything needed to welcome the baby in the best possible way. There is no rule to follow, but we usually start preparing the birthing bag around the seventh or eighth month of gestation.

What can't be missed?
Some hospitals used to provide mothers-to-be with a list containing everything they need to have with them during hospitalization, this is the necessities for both mom and newborn which changes according to the colder and warmer months. But what cannot be missing in the bag?
- For the time of delivery, don't forget a nightgown or T-shirt, it is important that you are very comfortable at that time; therefore, choose natural and breathable materials.
- For postpartum, on the other hand, it is essential to have a button-front or V-necknightgown so as to facilitate breastfeeding.
- Remember a robe, it will be very useful especially when moving from room to room in the hospital.
- For the little one, there can be no shortage of bodysuits, also made of warm natural cotton so as not to redden the most sensitive skin, and a few bibs.
- Remember booties, caps and a few cardigans to keep baby warm.
- We recommend bringing a nursing pillow to start breastfeeding right away by keeping the potion correct and comfortable for both mother and newborn.
- If you are giving birth in the middle of winter, we also recommend a winter Igloo egg bag to keep the baby protected from the cold during trips out of the hospital.
- Finally, to always have a safe place to keep the little one in the first days of life, we recommend the Babynest.
- Sometimes a heavier blanket heavier, while diapers, wet wipes, and everything needed for the baby's first medication are generally provided by the hospital.
