Sleep in newborn: here are some tips!
In the very first days of life, a newborn sleeps about 16 hours a day, the sleep-wake rhythm is discontinuous and it is difficult for a parent to adjust it to make it more comfortable.
Here are some tips we suggest you follow to try to improve these first moments with your little one:
- When a Child is a newborn it does not fully perceive its own body, but does so only through contact with adults-that is why infants fall asleep more easily if they are in contact with their parents, so co-sleeping might be a good option.
- It establishes a kind of ritual for falling asleep: this may incentivize the acquisition of increasingly fixed rhythms.
- "White noises" are so called because of their ability to cancel out annoying noises by creating a kind of soothing sounds. These conciliate your baby's sleep by making him or her relax; in fact, they remind him or her of the time spent in the womb where sounds were muffled.
